Hey Guys,

I have to do a presentation, then research paper choosing a topic in any branch of organic chemistry. (They can include (but are not limited to) “green” chemistry (environmental), medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, bioorganic chemistry, etc.) These have to be 5 peer reviewed articles. Thats no problem, I can find those easy.

I'm hitting a creative block and cannot think of a interesting topic. Can anybody help me out? Anything, even keywords would help (PS...not Organic, or "chemistry") lol thanks!

Do something with chromatography, some of the topics are interesting: Solid phase microextraction might be a good keyword

Heh, I had to do a paper once where we could choose the topic (as long as it related to chemistry and behavior) so I did mine on the mechanisms and effects of chemical castration...I think it scared my TA into giving me an A 🙂

I'm a little confused as to what the scope of the paper is though. Is this supposed to be very technical and bench science focused? As in research a certain protein/chemical and how it works? Or is it more general?

The synthesis of chiral auxiliaries is pretty interesting. Plus those papers are usually pretty straightforward. Good luck!
