I took one year chem, bio, calulus, and english at my current school, and I'm planning to transfer to somewhere else. I heard that med school wants you to take all the pre reqs at the same undergraduate. I just wanted to clarify if this statement is true. Also, I'm having a lot of trouble with my calculus class, and I'm afraid I might get a bad grade, I know that if I take it next semester I would gurantee an A cause I get the material, I just messed up on the midterm. What would med school think of that?

Schools don't really care that much where you take your courses, except that there is a general consensus that you should take all of your pre-reqs and get your degree from a 4 year university.
As for calculus, if you don't think you can get above a D, retake. Otherwise, one bad grade will not kill you.

No, med schools don't care if you've taken prereqs at multiple universities. Lots of people transfer and lots of people do post-bac work. But, to reiterate, it's best to take them at any 4-year university.

Agreed. They could care less where you take the required courses. They care where you took them.
For example, if you went to Harvard for undergrad and took all your pre-reqs at a community college they might look at your application funny.
For grades, if you can drop out of the calc class and it is NOT on your transcript then it's not a horrible idea. One bad grade wont kill you, but getting an A over a C is smart. Most colleges will record that you dropped the course and that will not be the best thing to see on a transcript. Think about it, if you were reading that you'd assume someone dropped because they were about to fail, or at least I would assume that.

I have never heard of a school caring about taking pre recs at different schools. Through a series of very odd events, I ended up taking courses at 4 different schools, and it didn't hurt me at all. Don't sweat it.
