I am graduating this spring with an undergraduate bio degree, but i haven't gotten any any interviews yet. On the contrary, I have received numerous rejections (7 to be exact). With the rejections in mind and how late it is in the cycle, I have put things into perspective and i know that I'm not anywhere this cycle. In order to excel i have to retake the DAT again and look for plans next fall. I was considering a post-bacc, but since I will have a bio degree and have fulfilled most of my pre-reqs I don't need to do a post-bacc? Anyone have any other options (i.e. Master's). Someone PLEASE HELP for advice!!

what are your stats? without those no one can give you proper advice..

hard for anyone to tell you anything... whats your GPA/DAT? when did you apply? and how many schools?

Sorry here is my G.P.A
Science: 3.33
Non-Science: 3.66
Total: 3.34
DAT: AA-18, TS- 19, PAT- 16

I sent my application during the first week of October 2010. I applied to a total of 16 schools and heard back from (7 w/ rejections). Since its really late in the cycle and I will probably get rejected from the remaining, I'm looking into a Masters in Biomedical Science in NJ,BU and Midwestern. My concerns are that that if I retake the DAT and reapply for the fall of 2012, then the Masters GPA would not get accounted for?

These are big problems. AND you applied in October, which is late. RETAKE the DAT, try to aim for a min of 19 AA or above, and a higher PAT. AND APPLY EARLY!!!!

what schools you apply to? and what is the breakdown of your DAT scores? what state are you applying from also

I bet its that october date. With 3.3 GPA and 16 schools, and assuming you get a 19AA+ on the retake, if you don't get in this cycle, apply early next (like June-early)

As far as masters goes, thats up to you, I personally wouldn't do it, your numbers are fine, if anything, take 1-2 post-bacc classes per semester just to show that you are still involved with education.

The best thing you can do right now is to study hard on that retake.... its your best option for next cycle.... good luck

Where your referring to the the date that applied to be a big problem or my GPA? I know that the DAT scores are not competitive enough for a school to look through my file twice. I applied to schools along the east coast and I'm currently from NY.

I ment *were... Looking back into the post it appears that your were referring to the AA and PAT (in bold, duh!).
