I want to apply to pharmacy schools for Fall 2014, and i just noticed that it takes PharmCAS put to 5 weeks calculate GPA and confirm everything once you e-submit. My recommendations are not in yet, and I haven't finished my personal statement (I was planning on having all of this done during Thanksgiving break).I just took my pcats last week and those aren't in yet. Do you think its too late to apply for Pharmacy schools if I e-submit my pharmcas in the last week of November? Also, can i submit it now, so they verify my transcript, and submit/edit my LOR and Personal Statement later? Please help, I'm having a panic attack!!!!

The schools I'm applying to have deadlines in Feb and March, idk if that makes a difference...

Typically how long does PharmCAS take to verify your application? Has anyone gotten into a pharmacy school when they submitted their PharmCAS in late Nov (and verified in Dec-ish) with average stats?

As long as their pharmCAS deadlines are after/on the day you submit pharmCAS you should be ok, not necessarily too late. Keep in mind that most schools are rolling admission so it's just to your benefit to apply earlier, especially if you have just average stats. PharmCAS took about 3-4 weeks to verify my GPA and it took about 4-5 weeks for PCAT scores to reach your schools. So even if you submit late November, you'd still be okay 🙂

Unfortunately, you won't be able to edit your personal statement if you submit. You can add LORs, PCAT ID # and update some basic info, but no editing a lot of stuff (like courses, school, personal statement, etc.). So my advice would just to calm down, make sure you have a good, solid personal statement and good material for your references to write you letters. It's fine to submit late-November, just take the time to make sure your materials are good and represent you well as an applicant.

You will be fine, but make sure you finish submitting everything by the end of this month, at the latest, if you want to realistically make February deadlines. I say this also because many times you ask your reference to write you letters and they end up handing them in many weeks later.

I think you will be fine. from my experience, it only took pharmCAS 3 days to verify. But I did submitted transcripts 2 months before I e-submit my application. And you don't have to wait for LORs before you submit. hope it help. Best of luck

Also, verification doesn't matter. The schools can see your app as soon as it is e-submitted. They assume it is correct. I got an interview 2 weeks before it was verified, one day after I submitted. But the more info you have when they first look the better. You want your LORs in when you submit. Pressure your recommenders provided you gave them plenty of notice beforehand.
