Hey everyone, I have had interviews at LECOM-B, KCOM, PCOM-GA, DCOM, and two more coming up at WVSOM and ACOM. I was recently accepted to DCOM, but I am waitlisted at LECOM-B and KCOM; I'm still to hear back from PCOM-GA. I was wondering if I could get some feed back on how these schools compare to each other from personal experiences from SDNers. I really enjoyed KCOM and DCOM, and I am sending the deposit for DCOM, but I'm not sure what I would do if my name gets pulled off the WL at KCOM. What would you guys recommend? I really enjoyed the family atmosphere of DCOM, and their facilities are one of the best I've seen. KCOM is another school that I fell in love with, and has the same family atmosphere as DCOM. The fact that KCOM has a hospital attached is a big plus, and their facilities are top notch. I guess I'm looking for some feedback from current KCOM, DCOM, WVSOM, LECOM-B, PCOM-GA and ACOM students.

Thank you for your input

I know this isn't helpful, but only you can decide what you want. How do you think the environment at each school is like. What is the cost of living around it and how much does it cost to go there. Do they have good placement to good residencies? You need to formulate questions like those and figure out which one fits into your ideal school. But it sounds like KCOM has a little more leverage to your ideal school, so why not go there then.

Kcom and lecomB are probably the best on that list.

Pcom ga, wvcom and dcom have pretty poopie match lists each year, and west Virginia is too expensive if you are out of state.

Acom is an unknown product and I probably would not trust them.

If I were you, I'd put my payment down at dcom and go to kcom or lecom if a spot opens up.

KCOM is actually my first choice with DCOM being a close second and I am really hoping they pull my name off the WL. I plan on sending them a letter of intent and some more letters of rec. My first interview was at LECOM-B and I loved it at first, but after interviewing at other schools it quickly found itself at the bottom of my list. I find that the resources at LECOM-B are lacking in comparison to all the other schools, and the fact that the students are left to their own devices with, from what I understand, minimal faculty support.

Edit:

Would you mind telling me where you got this information from?
