Currently a second year student studying public health (just finished second year). Was just wondering what schools I should begin looking at (give me a list even), and what I should do to improve my chances of acceptance.
Currently sitting at a 3.42 Overall GPA with a 3.3 science GPA.

Have not taken MCAT yet.

Will be getting four strong recommendation letters, possibly more (one from doctor volunteer with, one from professor I volunteer with, one committee, as well as one military)

Research:
-Just beginning a summer internship studying PTSD

Work Experience:
-CVS pharmacy technician for 8 months
-Summer internship at the VA Hospital working in Occupational Health as a secretary
-Summer internship at VA Hospital as laborer

Volunteer Experience:
-Currently director of my own non-profit (IRS Approved) that helps people across the world
-Volunteering as a lab assistant in my school with a professor who teaches lower-level lab
-Volunteering at food bank in Boston
-Over 400 hours of patient contact in a pediatric setting

Extracurricular activities:
-Currently a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol (United States Air Force Auxiliary) holding numerous positions
-Muslim Society America (school club) member
-Semi-Pro Football player (one year)
-Intramural Basketball (Two years)

Shadow some DOs, rock your MCAT, keep your GPA up

You're doing a TON of EC's and volunteer work. How much time are you really giving to all of them? If you're stretching yourself thin then I'd suggest cutting a few of them.

Other than that, would agree with other poster of keeping those GPA's up and killing the MCAT. You'll be golden.

Moving to WAMC.

Moving where??

But I've dedicated good amount of time to everything..volunteering in lab is once a week during semester. Clinical hours done during vacation Nd weekends and nonprofit is always grinding

don't worry about a school list yet. keep up the volunteering and try to improve the GPA
