on the application I stated that I would take ochem 2 and calc 1 this semester. However, I already got into dental school that doesn't require ochem2 and instead it requires biochemistry, which I took. would not taking these classes affect my admission to the school? these two classes were in my agenda for other schools but now Im sure that I would be going to school that I got accepted, I don't need them....

Call and ask- better safe than sorry 🙂 But I think if they don't require a class, then you're not required to take it

You don't need them, so don't worry about it.

But... I looked at the pre-reqs, and it said 2 quarters for ochem. At my undergrad, that would have included the second in the series of ochem.

Better yet, call and ask them.

Btw, which school doesn't require Ochem 2? 😱

MWU-AZ, UCSF, MWU-IL, UIC, UNE, Tufts, Touro, UPenn, and UW
*UoP and DC-Georgia (only if you complete one semester of biochem and 1 semester of orgo)

Double check the ones that you're interested in. Anyone, feel free to add on any I may have missed

def be professional and ask your school about their opinion about it the subject. I would say just make sure that if inquired give a productive reason for opting out those classes rather you just dont need them.
