Help please

As I have said in another post, I am a pre-med convert, and I'm trying to get my essay for AADSAS done today. My question is, since it is already mentioned in my app that I applied to med school last year, and also this year, do I explain how I just made the decision to go dental this year, hadn't ever even consdered it before this year, and actually decided after I had submitted this year's med school apps, and would pick dental over med if given acceptances at both? Or do I just not mention it and only explain if asked at an interview?

I'm no expert on this, but I would say you have some explaining to do. (probably on your essay)

If i were an adcom, seeing you have applied to med school TWICE and now your applying to dent school, i would be concearned about your "real interest".

HMM this is a taugh one
I think I'd work hard to make them want to meet me. Write an essay that is honest and would want them to meet you. I think you'll be able to explain yourself on the interview. But applying twice to med school does beg some explanation. Again it's up to you what you wish to with the format of your composition, but don't devote is entirely to "WHy I applied to medschool in the first place"

Just say I hear dental school is easier to get in to that why I am here. No, I am just screwing with you; that is the last thing you would want to say. You should know why you wish to be a dentist, and say that. If it is true, they will most likely understand.

Other then that; I have no suggestions. I am in my application process as well. Writing my personal statement was difficult, but I am very pleased with it.

All you can do is be honest and genuine in your essay (and to yourself!) about why you want to be a dentist and not a physician. If dentistry is really what you want to do then it will show in your essay and to the interviewers. Good Luck!

I just recently became interested in dentistry (About 6 months ago). Prior to this, I was pre-med and even applied to medical school last year. In my essay, I explained my decision to apply to dental school. Be honest, be true. Dental schools will respect that.
