Right now I'm deciding between Columbia and stony brook.
I need some advice/ opinions on where to go.
We know stony is way cheaper, but it's location is horrible ( in middle of nowhere)
Columbia on the other hand is more expensive but location is better (close to midtown manhattan, social, no car needed)
Any other things that might sway a person one way or another? Is money the most important?
I've been hearing a lot that stony is better because since its a cheap school ppl wanna go there so they accept top students.
Regarding specializing, columbia is known to do well, buy shouldn't stony also be? Not much is known about it in my opinion. Do the specialty programs realize the students in stony are top?
