Help Required Regarding Cognosy

I'm student of PharmD, this is my second year and i 've been working on an assignment regarding poisonous plants and their toxic effect... (their botanical name, family, habitat, toxic parts etc..)
can any one of you please tell me about sum books to consult and web pages...
i guess this is the best place to ask for help 🙂

Actually, the best place to ask for help is your school library. The ASHP has a handbook of herbal medications (this won't include toxic plants with no medicinal value however.

But...the librarian can help you search for good pharmacogonsy books. There are a number of really good & valued references, which only your library might have.

Be careful of the internet.....its value is only what is put on there. A book which has an editorial staff with good credentials or a peer reviewed journal is a better source than a web page without sufficient editorial documentation.

One of the important lessons you're learning here is not just toxic plants...its how to critically evaluate information & its sources.

tylor was the easy available book i have , but whatever is there, is not sufficent to make an assignment. i asked my librarian and she did help me to sum extend.

You're welcome! I had no idea it pharmacognosy was still taught in school, but I guess with a resurgence with herbals it makes sense.
