Many of you have probably heard about the SETI@home program. A new program has been started that has a more direct affect on the field of science. It is called the World Community Grid . The focus of the new grid is currently a protein folding project that could take years to process with super computers. By joining the grid you will download a program that downloads and crunches small amounts of data. The combined output can dramatically reduce the time for the results to be known. From years to months....As a fellow SDN'er I wanted everyone to hear about this...I'm starting a team called the Protein Crusaders, feel free to join 🙂
