HELP, Should I apply to dental school this cycle?!

I just took my DAT yesterday and got

Reading 17
QR 19
PAT 19
Orgo 18
Gen Chem 19
Bio 18
total 18

My GPA is 3.73,I have plenty of shadowing hours and volunteer hours... do you think my DAT is good enough to send in my app?

Don't waste your time and money applying to really competitive schools like Penn, Harvard, Columbia etc. I am not trying to say you aren't smart enough but those schools are very stats based and would just outright reject your app because of DAT (or worse they'll make you waste more time and money on secondaries before rejection)

Your DAT isn't great, but it gets past all cut-offs. The rest of your app looks nice so you should apply so long as you choose your schools carefully and appropriately - stats/residency etc.

I would advise you to apply, but also sign up to retake your DAT and hope for a few post December interviews.
