I just took my DAT and didn't do as well as I thought I would. 20AA 20TS. 20 PAT. 21RC 17QR 23BIO 19CHEM 19OC. I have a 3.9sGPA and cGPA. A retake would have to be end of august to start of sept so pretty late in the cycle. I'm also worried to drop in some sections or get the same scores. I used booster and thought it was relatively similar except RC was much denser, so my 21 is a miracle to me, and chem threw questions at me that I never encountered, I actually thought I'd score a 15.
My experience/ec
1000+ dental assisting at peds
100 volunteering (underserved community)
100 shadowing, half general half peds.

You seem to have great experience, great GPA and the scores aren’t that bad aside from QR, arguably the least important subject. I personally wouldn’t retake as long as you feel that your scores meet the requirements for the schools you want to apply to, others might have a different opinion.

thank you! I'm looking to apply to rutgers and east coast schools. Preferably the ones that don't cost 500k+. Their averages are 20.8-21.5 range which makes me a bit worried since I am below it.

I recommend contacting the dental schools directly. While Rutgers is highly competitive, your strong GPA will be a significant asset. Best of luck with your application!
