Hi! I just got my MCAT scores back and it is 29Q (9 VR, 10 PS, 10 BS)🙁 I was scoring much higher on my practice tests and am pretty disappointed.

But it has improved by 2 points (last year's score was 27M). I was wondering whether I should reapply or not?

My sGPA is around 3.6 while my cGPA is 3.8. I have over 100 hours as a hospital volunteer, 50 hours as a volunteer in an office, 1 years research for honors, and I am currently doing my masters. I have about 20 hours of shadowing and 16 hours volunteering in a docotrs office (started this recently).

So do you think I have a chance for MD?
Thanks for reading!

You have a 74.1% chance of an acceptance to an allopathic med school per: http://www.aamc.org/data/facts/applicantmatriculant/table24-mcatgpa-grid-3yrs-app-accpt.htm so certainly I would reapply.

Your clinical experience is fine, but the shadowing is skimpy. If you could double or triple that before applying it would help you. Your research is about the average involvement.

Do you have any leaderhip, teaching, nonmedical community service, artistic endeavors, or hobbies? Any of these are good to include on your application.

A reason not to reapply until next year: If you've made little significant improvement in your application since you last submitted.
