Firstly, I want to confirm something. If I were to send in my application to one school just so that it gets processed faster could I add schools later? This is what I did with my MD app because I am still waiting on MCAT scores and I wanted to submit my app asap so that it could be processed by the time (or close to) when I receive my scores. I realized I never confirmed if this is true for the DO app as well.

Secondly, I am getting my MCAT score on the 18th. At this point should I just wait? If my score isn't good I wouldn't apply. There's only 5 days left now so should I risk sending in my application to one school and being considered a reapplicant? (Would I still be considered a reapplicant for DO if I only end up applying MD?)

Anyone help would be greatly appreciated. This process is so confusing and I truly appreciate all the help that I have gotten!

To your first question, yes. You can apply to a "throw away" school while waiting on the MCAT score. If you only applied MD you would not be considered a reapplicant at DO schools.

To your second question, if you are seriously concerned about your MCAT score sinking your app, just wait the five days. If you are just nervous and starting to freak out, relax. It's still early in the cycle.

what if i apply now and then withdraw on the 19th when I find out my score. My pre health advisor said that the shcools wouldn't know, but when I called aacomas today it seemed like schools get the app as soon as you submit even if it's not verified.
