Help!!! Step 1 during 3rd year?? Or later??

Hi,

I'm a student in India about to start my third year and I'm really confused as to whether I should give my Step 1 this year or do it after my final year.

Most of my seniors have done it during their internship, but this usually means they end up taking a year off to study for it because they can't meet the matching deadline for the year they graduate. I don't know anyone who did it after their 2nd year either....

Basically, will I get the scores I need if I do it now? Or should I wait? Really confused!! Please please help!!
