what classes do I take now?

I am taking OCHEM and acing it right now, pretty much all A's

Genchem, Bio, Physics, Microbio I got B's, but mostly C's, some D's and one F.
My life has sucked - I have never actually studied for a class until this year. What do I do? My schedule is open for the year and I want to take pure science classes this year to boost my GPA. Any suggestions???? I am desperate. My BCMP GPA right now is barely a 2.0 ...don't know what else I can say 🙁 My overall gpa is a 3.0. I have about 65 credit hours of BCMP.

What classes should I take this year? What postbaccs can I apply to?
I have stellar EC's and research. HELP!

Where do you live and how open are you to relocating?

i'm in Ohio and I am up for relocating anywhere. Even mexico if I need to

Some DO schools will let u replace old grades with new grades if you retake class. Maybe you could consider doing this?

What do you mean some? I thought this was the standard for osteopathic schools?

Question:

So i failed Chem1 at my university, but take Chem1 again at a Community college then the later grade will override the first one?

How do they check if the courses are equivalent?

If the state college will accept that credit as transfer from the CC then they are equivalent. Usually the state's Board of Regents or other some-such board determines these equivalencies.

AMCAS will see both grades and recalculate your gpa anyway

Go on to the AAMC website and do a search. They have a list of all the postbacc programs in the country.

What I would do.....

If you can ace O-chem you can make mostly A's in those classes. You've got to retake the D's and the F, no choice there. I would stay in Ohio. there's hella med schools there that favor residents. You can't re-take your courses at a CC, that'd be a big mistake. If you did pretty well at your CC and then moved on and did well at a 4-year then your CC grades wouldn't hurt you. But your on a different boat now.

Sixty five credits is not too hard to push up if your get down to business now. You still have a good shot at this. Just keep the competition in mind and let that tighten up your stroke. Good luck!--ben.
