I started my college career in a Community College. Back then I first took a Gen. Bio Class and got an A, but then I found out that class was not for science majors. I ended up retaking the class but the science-major version (Principals of Bio 1) and I got a C. I have a B.S. now and am looking to retake anything less than a C+. So my question is: should I go back to the CC and retake this class there or take it at a 4 year since I believe science classes are looked down upon from CC's, thanks.

I doubt that AACOMAS would consider it a retake because it technically isn't the same class. but they would know better.
You took the "Intro" Bio course, as is listed by other schools. I know one CC that has a Bio class listed as "General" and another as "Intro" and both are basically the same class. If you want to retake the C, you have to retake the same exact course at the same school, or take it somewhere else with the same course description.
I'm sorry I think my post was a little confusion. I did not take the second class to officially "retake" it, this was years ago and I was advised wrong (I should have never took the first Bio to begin with). Basically my question is should I retake this "C" at my old CC or at a 4 year? My current 4 year has a "General Bio 1" class, how can I find out if this class will replace the CC Bio.

I think this website is just for California schools, but I have found it helpful when trying to see which courses are considered "equivalent" (or at least good enough to transfer) going from a community college to a 4-year institution. If you're not in California, maybe your state has something similar? It shows what courses are even offered at certain schools, and which courses are given the same credit when it comes to transferring.
However, I would highly recommend doing your research about each class. I have found that even though the courses can be considered "the same" in terms of transferability, the course content can be very different at each school. For example, I tried to re-take physics at a community college, but it ended up covering completely different material than what I had covered at my 4-year. This is especially true if you're going from quarter to semester systems. If you want to go through DO grade replacement, the syllabi have to match up and the units must be the same or greater.
You can also email the professors and ask for the syllabus from each class, and make sure all the major topics are covered.
