Hi! I am a rising senior wondering when to take the DAT (I Plan to take at least one gap year and will likely apply next June, regardless, I hope to be done with the DAT by January) I have bought the destroyer and math destroyer 2016 edition. I plan to study June, July, August and was hoping to take the test at the end of August. However, I feel my summer will be a bit busier than I anticipated as I am an athlete so will be training a few hours a day and was hoping to shadow, volunteer and do some babysitting. If I were to take the DAT at the end of the summer, I would feel a lot of pressure in the next three months to have everything nailed down and I take a long time to absorb material. So, would it be a bad idea to study very hard for the next three months and then lightly during the fall semester and take the test sometime between Nov -January when I feel most ready? I can also do last minute prep during my month of winter break (Dec 20th to Jan 20th or so). I feel that this is an unusual route as most people take it after 3 months of studying and I am afraid it taking it so far after September that i will forget the material. What do you suggest I do and when should I even plan to sign up for the DAT (I am unsure of when sign up for a date given these circumstances)? I plan to follow the schedule from bootcamp (which I am also unsure of when to actually buy because it lasts only three months and I am afraid not having access to it in the months leading up to my test will be detrimental - thoughts?) and use DAT destroyer and math destroyer and CLIFFs Ap bio and feralis notes. I also hope to use Chad's videos and am plan to purchase these soon and I am hoping these last longer than 90 days. Thank you for ANY ADVICE and everyone on this site is always SO HELPFUL! I hope to do as well on the DAT as some of you - you all are my inspiration!
