i was wondering what you guys think are my chances.

4.0 GPA
31 on mcat
170 hours of volunteering
50+ hours of shadowing
was a tutor for 2 years
texas resident

thats the major items on my resume. im applying for texas med schools

volunteer hours are all medical. 70 hours at a major hospital. 100+ hours at a homeless clinic. no leadership experience since highschool. however i was a summer camp counselor if they counts. no research
 
Experiences from before HS graduation are generally not included. Your clinical experience sounds very good. Nonmedical community service would have been nice to see, but I still think you have a decent chance at schools other than Baylor and UTSW.

Presumably the tutoring was paid?

What kind of docs did you shadow? You might add more variety and let schools know via update letters or during interviews.
 
With a gpa and MCAT like that you should be fine in the state of Texas

GPA is a little below average
MCAT can be improved a little bit.......

lol

Seriously, you are a great shape for many MD schools.
 
I think you'll be able to get into a med school.. not sure about a texas one necessarily but if you do some research I'm sure you'll have a great chance🙂
