MCAT----> 30
GPA-----> 3.64
Degree---> Biology degree in process
Age-----> 21
Job----> Administrative Coordinator in a Hospital
Volunteer----> I volunteer at the free clinic. For the patients that can't read or write, I assist them with filling out paper work. I also take their blood pressure and temperature.

I know they look at extra-curricular activites. I can play the piano and guitar and I am a member of a couple of clubs.
...🙂

John Hokins Medical School😕

With those scores I think that you should be competitive for Johns Hopkins. I think you might also have a shot at Harvard, Columbia University, Cornell, Mt. Sinai, the Cleveland Clinic College of Medicine, UCLA, UCSD, University of Chicago. you have the scores and the grade - I really think you should give it try.

Your stats are at the average of MD matriculants. Apply middling broadly to a) all your state schools b) a few dream/reach schools c) some other middle to lower tier schools you would actually consider attending.

You don't mention research experience or leadership, both of which top schools look for.

Apply to all of your state schools, state schools are usually the highest yield to apply to.

Your numbers aren't bad, but they're not eye-popping. So make sure you apply to some middle and less competative schools.

If you have a dream of going to Johns Hopkins or a school of similar stature, give it a shot, it can't hurt (well maybe the wallet, a little bit).

Also, moving to What Are My Chances?

read his blog, he's also paralyzed from the waist down.

Look for a member who go by the name of walderness or something, he got into JHU with a disability. Truly inspiring.

See Bacchus does not pay attention to the details! 😀

If he had been more perceptive, he would have realized that a normal (mere mortal) applying to Johns Hopkins with those scores would have had their asses rejected and become the laughing stock of the admissions committee...

But a guy who's paralyzed from the wast down and who somehow managed to do all those things while earning a respectable GPA/MCAT score - that's a guy whom I would want as a doctor if I was on the Hopkins admissions committee.

Hell, he'll probably make a better doctor than 90% of the wannabe douchebags on this forum who post about how they have 4.0 and 40 on their MCAT and are wondering if they need to retake the MCATs in order to be competitive enough for Harvard or Hopkins.
