I basically am confused over which MCAT I should take, The April 10th exam (1pm) or the May 1st exam (8am). I wanted to take the latest MCAT such that I get my score before applications open up. I would definitely take the MCAT on May 1st or anytime between these two tests if there was another 1pm test available. I am a bit worried that I will not be a great 8am test taker, especially on the verbal. Historically, I usually perform well in the afternoon/evening. I am an economics major, so the question has boiled down to this: Will the amount of MCAT material that I learn from April 10th to May 1st (20 days) increase my score more than the potential negative outcome of testing at 8am will decrease it? I have been studying about three weeks so far.

I honestly think that at that point, (if you are well prepared), you will know the material well enough for it to not matter what time you take the test. Actually, if you do take the 8 am, it would be wise to do all your FLs also at 8am.

I actually think better in the mornings and the time I feel made a impact on my score.

If you have adequate time to study for the April MCAT then I would take that one but if you think you may need more time to get in those last practice tests, then I would go ahead and take the May MCAT.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to sign up for both tests? Just in case I do not do well on the first 1 and decide to retake it a couple weeks later. I know that some of the MCAT tests fill up really early. So I probably wouldnt be able to sign up right after the first test.
