Help with a gap year

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Seems like you've already got a decent amount on your plate.

Med schools keep track of your potential as a physician not your bank account

Med schools won't care. I personally took off all of June and much of July after graduating before starting my gap year job so that I could work on secondaries, and it never came up once during interviews. Besides, you're volunteering as an EMT and doing research, so it's not like you're doing nothing for those two months.
