I'm trying to put together a very preliminary list of schools, which is a bit tough without my MCAT score yet (I sit for the exam on the 23rd), but I'm thinking I'll score near a 33-34 (11/11/11 with a point extra here or there has been the trend) based on my practice exams. Right now I've got a cGPA 3.77, sGPA 3.67, double major in Liberal Studies and Pre-med at a top 20 university. I've got loads of clinical experience, solid ECs and LORs, and some research experience in the form of a senior thesis that I'm writing next year on medical education. The weakest part of my app is likely my shadowing, which is almost entirely informal. My dad is a doc, and I never saw the point of shadowing formally since I spent my entire life growing up around doctors. I'm from PA, and here's my initial list based on the above. I'm looking for any feedback whatsoever, positive or negative. I'm interested in primary care and frankly have very little interest in research-heavy programs, if that's any help, but I'm not sure which programs this would include. I'm fairly unexcited by my in-state options, as I'd really like to move out of the area, and I don't much care for Philadelphia. I also was very impressed by an admissions rep from Creighton earlier this year, so if anyone could suggest similar schools, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!!
