How would I differentiate between option choices C and D when only presented a top and front view? It seems impossible as the edges for both of these shapes would align the same way? Am I missing something? 61% of people seem to understand why.

you're missing the little ramp on D, that isn't seen on C when you're looking at the front view. That little ramp that is going down gives you that solid horizontal line when you're looking at it from the front. If you look at C from the front it won't have that solid horizontal line in the front view and it would just be a solid rectangle with the dashed lines for the square that is seen on the top view.

Thanks, king. I was habitually comparing the BACK edge of the ramp (maybe because this habit has rewarded me thus far in determining dotted lines given sloped objects) without realizing that that back edge (along with the entire square in option C) is completely in line with the blue protrusion - rather than the front edge of the ramp which is BELOW the blue protrusion as a result of its slope. Thanks for helping me clear that brain fog.
