Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of you could be of help. I have a friend who is trying to apply for the HSPS. Her recruiter (I don't believe the recruiter is "specialized" for the health professions) told her he needs a copy of her dental school application. Well, we are already done with out first year and AADSAS only keeps the previous application cycle on hand. We didn't apply that cycle because we were beginning dental school already so that is out of the window. She talked to the school and unfortunately they said they can't give copies of her application to third parties. Now, I suggested that they give her the copy and she can give the Navy the copy, but apparently they will not give her a copy because she will just give them the copy. It seems ridiculous as you should have a right to get your application and give it to whoever you want to. Do they really need a copy of her application to begin with since she can already prove she is attending school? Does anyone have any ideas or solutions?

Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about applying for the HPSP while in dental school? If so, I believe only a letter of acceptance and/or a letter from the dean is necessary to start the application process.

Yes, sorry, that's what I meant. I will have her check on that again. Thanks!
