University of Louisville (UL)

Tufts University (TUF)

Boston University Henry M Goldman School of Dental Medicine

University of Detroit Mercy (UDM)

Creighton University (CRE)

University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)

Case School of Dental Medicine (CWR)

University of Pennsylvania (PENN)

The Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry, Temple University (TEMP)

Meharry Medical College (MEH)

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)

Undergrad GPA: 3.34

Grad GPA (MPH): 3.67
DAT scores:

AA 19
TS 20

GC 21
Bio 19
QR 16
RC 20
PAT 20

I tried to choose mostly private schools because I am an international student. Any feedback about these schools and about whether my scores and GPA would considered ok with their average would be appreciated. Also, I know that I am applying to a lot of schools and was wondering if schools will know that ??

Thank you,
Talib

I think you have a pretty good shot on those schools. I don't apply as many as you do, but who cares if schools know you apply many schools. It should not matter. Good luckk!

hey, check out this thread if you want to know how to select schools:
http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=635046

It is really up to you to do the research and select schools. I sat down one day and went through every single schools website and first checked to see whether I fulfilled all their prerequisites (for example, some require certain upper division biology classes).
Then, I also double checked whether they take OOS applicants (Unless you have stellar scores, you have no chance in a state like Texas). That cut my school list in half.
Then, I chose by location or tuition rates (why bother applying if you know you would rather wait then get in that school).
Then, I made the final cut by checking my DAT scores and GPA with them. If it matched the average, I applied.

Like you can see, prereqs, your residency status, location and tuition and DAT and GPA scores are all specific to YOU. Nobody on SDN can actually help you with the exact schools you should apply to -they can only tell you how to get there.
