I recently found a database that listed 33 undergraduate programs in Neuroscience. I am extremely interested in this as a major, and I'm considering doing research in something like Neurophysiology or Neurochemistry. Anyway, here's the database:

I don't think it's complete, only because I think Duke has a Neuroscience program and it isn't listed in there (not sure if it's Undergrad or not). Anyway, my problem is that most of these programs are in really expensive schools. Expensive for me is around 30k+ for one year...

Does anyone know any less expensive (at most 20k) colleges that offer majors in Neuroscience?

Check out McGill University in Montreal.

1) Very strong in neuroscience, along with the Montreal Neurological Institute.
2) It's in Montreal.
3) http://www.mcgill.ca/undergrad/money/ for prices. It's not too bad, tuition is 14 to 23k for internationals.

UT Dallas does this. Not sure where you live or if Texas would be an option but I hear great things about this school even though it's obviously not your big name school. I believe their cost of attendance is 10-15 K.

I've heard that some people like it...but from personal experience, I would not recommend UTD. If you want my full opinion on the subject, send me a PM. 🙂 I don't like to be negative, but I don't want people to make mistakes.

UT Austin has a neurobiology major as well--not sure how they rank biology programs though.

Just finished my first year there, Biology major + Pre-Pharmacy track

For instate, I'm paying about 3.8-4.2k a semester not including housing
Living on campus would be about 7.3kish a year.

So in state, if you decide to live on campus and all that, would be around 15-18k a year max, that is, if you didn't get any scholarships or anything.

I should probably mention that I'm OOS (Living in the New York area currently)
