My mom just recently went to the dentist to get her tooth checked out and the dentist left these comments on her procedure:

"Apicoectomy performed. Found fracture on buccal aspect of lingual root, leading to furcation."

My parents are just curious as to what this is saying. I was wondering if the experts here can help me understand what that means?

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to ask for professional advice or recommendations. I just wanted to understand the terms, but the mods can close the thread if it's inappropriate.

It would be wiser to ask the practitioner who performed the procedure.

Or perhaps Google. You can find answers to everything these days.
