I know this is a good problem to have but I have been accepted to RVU, UPIKE, DMU, ATSU-SOMA, and TUN-NV. Any suggestions, pros & cons, etc would be great! I am from North Dakota and so I have never lived anywhere near these places and like things about all of them and am having a hard time deciding and want it done by the end of this month. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

First of all - congrats! This is definitely a fantastic problem to have I'm jealous! But my vote is for DMU. It is definitely the most established out of all of those schools and in my opinion probably recognized as the best, even though I'm sure an education at any would be fine. I don't know what your preferences (rural medicine or not), but if they aren't rural I'd say a no-go to Pikeville. I've heard their residency matches aren't so hot either. As for ATSU-SOMA, I've heard bad things about their rotations in 3rd and 4th years (being forced to go into certain areas that aren't so great). TUN-NV I haven't heard much about, but I know the Touros are fairly new so in my opinion it's always best to stick with an established program with a curriculum that works. I also don't know anything about RVU so I can't comment on that (from the midwest - didn't really look into it). Idk if any of that actually helped but they're just my opinions and other people may disagree! Good luck!! 👍

DMU.

Stok says DMU too... just letting you know.

DMU will be the favorite since it's arguably better in all categories compared to the other schools you mentioned.

It seems like DMU is in the best standing according to fellow students which I thought would be the case. Does anybody have a link to the match list?... SEAP3 Where did you do your undergrad?

Run away...run far away from RVU.

Match lists are what you make of them. They aren't deterministic of your own success.

Hahahahahaha. DMU for sure.

Realistically though DMU is the best on the list. Cross off KY and RVU. Too many stories to take the chance when you don't have to regardless of what is true. Touro seems good, but I know I saw somewhere someone was complain hardcore as a student. I don't remember why or what was said, but I do remember touro in the west. Like KY and RVU, don't take the chance. SOMA lost a big feeling from me with the 1+3 crap they got going on. DMU is the second oldest, nationaly respected, and state of the art.

None of what I said applies however if you have a strong preference for a certain location. Except KY. Don't go there.

DMU no doubt. They've been around and are very reputable. The other schools are good, but not as good.

Best of luck.
