I was thinking about this as my schedule for Fall 2010 :

- English II (3)
- General Biology II (Retake the 1st time I got a W) (4)
- General Chemistry I (4)
- College Algebra (3)
- Undergrade STEM Research I (4)

Total Credit Hours : 18

This is what I was thinking for my fall schedule, so was seeing if this was doable or what ?

Out of curiosity OP, how many hours of research are you doing? 12 hrs/week?

With the difficulty of the courses is it possible to make straight A's in all of these ?

I think its something like 2-4 hours a minimum a week if im not mistakened.

It depends how easy those subjects are for you and how easy those classes are at your school. For me, I could probably manage all A's because all of those topics are fairly easy for me - with ample study time obviously.

Should I worry about extracurricurriculars ?

I think you should be fine taking all of those classes in one semester. They are beginning level classes so shouldn't be too difficult for you to get all A's. Good luck!

At my school, 1 research credit = 3-4 hours of research per week, so you might want to make sure about the number of hours you think research will take.

On the flyer on the course it says you have to do 4 hrs a week minimum once you get paired with a mentor.

First try it out to see how the courses are + the research then if you can manage it and have time to spare to get your EC's in then go for it, but the key is to manage/balance everything and come out w/ a strong gpa.

Alright will do. I really have to turn my GPA and extracurriculars around since I decided late on Pre-Med ontop of having a crappy GPA.
