If you were accepted to Mayo Clinic, would you go?

Of course this is asked at an interview for an osteopathic medical school.

Were you actually asked this?

I, personally, would say no, because I like the ideology behind osteopathic medicine and the approaches that osteopathic physicians take towards treatment. Asked at a D.O. interview, if you said yes, I would get the implication that you, as an interviewee, were just trying to get into the school with the best name and/or reputation and that you really didn't have a strong inclination towards practicing osteopathic medicine. Just my $0.02 though...

Mayo Clinic? Who are they? 🙂

Friend of a friend, etc.

Did this person actually apply to Mayo? If so, then they might have a lot tougher time answering that question than I would. My answer would simply be that I only applied to the schools that I wanted to attend, and Mayo wasn't one of them. I'd put a pretty wrapper on it for an interview, of course. Man, I hope I don't get any questions like that.
