I am currently volunteering in the ER and have a letter from the charge nurse as well as from the doctor. While the letter from the nurse is very good, the one from the doctor is more vague and seems like a generic letter. Which one would you recommend using or should I use both?

the one from the charge nurse. Despite what people on here say you really don't need a letter from a doc unless its a DO letter for a DO school.

👍 Agree. The adcoms are going to care less about the initials behind the name and more about how well the person knows you. Go with the charge nurse. Of course, if you're not maxing out your letters, it might not hurt to include both.

Keep the letter head and signature from the doc, and combine it with the content from the charge nurse, that way there's no doc vs nurse hostility 😎
