I had some friends read my personal statement and they all told me the same thing: I didn't clearly explain why I chose to be a pharmacist instead of a doctor or a nurse or a physicians assistant. I was wondering if anyone out there had the same issue or could give me some advice/tips.

I'm having the same problem! I had two interviews last year, and I couldn't clearly explain why pharmacy. I've been working at a pharmacy for over 2 years, and I know I love everything about pharmacy. I love the fast pace and hard work of pharmacy. The people I work with, and the customers, are awesome! I can't imagine a day without seeing them. I never leave the pharmacy without learning something new. Pharmacy is such a dynamic field, and the opportunities are enormous! Working in pharmacy has been such a fullfilling experience, and I can see myself working as a pharmacist for the rest of my life.

But I don't know how to explain why pharmacy school and not nursing or medical school. I just know I love pharmacy 😍

gator girl-
have you heard the reasons that any one else chose pharmacy or read any personal statements? Or do you have one that I might be able to read? [email protected] is my address!

I'm in the process of finishing my personal statement. As soon as I finish, I would love for you to read it! And no, I havn't read any other statements.
