Hello everyone! I'm looking to apply this cycle after receiving the MCAT and some old LOR. Looking for help with the school list and also recommendations to improve my application.

1. I am 28M, now applying 5 years after college cGPA 3.71 sGPA 3.70
2. MCAT 515 129/126/129/131 (5 years ago score: 513 129/125/131/128)
3. Residence: Wisconsin
4. ORM white + asian
5. school: UW Madison
6. clinical
   1. volunteering: street clinic for feet care 102 hours, Hospitalized Elder Life Program 64 hours
   2. experience: 9 months full time 911 EMT-B in Milwaukee (1440 hrs)
7. Research experience
   1. in college: 3.5 years about 10 hr per week (1820 hrs), published 2nd author on endothelial work in Stem Cell reports, presented at 2 poster sessions
   2. after college: Antibody drug R&D for 4 years after college, directly involved in the development of a bispecific antibody that just entered clinical trials
8. Shadowing: 60 hours shadowing multiple different doctor specialties.
9. non-clinical: 150 hours Habitat for Humanity
10. Extracurricular: TriBeta biological society Treasurer: organize speakers for students, teach kids, and fundraise 4 hours per week all 4 years.
11. Awards: Dean’s list, Community award to TriBeta, 30 second pitch award
12. Important: took one 3 credit course in summer, received A, taking 4 more credits this semester, will get A. Didn’t take more credits because had to re-learn for MCAT. Open to taking many courses in spring if could help?

It is late to apply to MD schools for this cycle. You could still apply to DO schools this month. Add MU-COM and CCOM to your list.

Focus on DOs and the in-state MD programs before their deadlines hit. Otherwise, I agree it's probably too late for other MD programs without a solid mission fit.
