I guess this is a What Are My Chances/School list post... Any input would be helpful. Starting to get neurotic. Here goes...
BS in Molecular Biology 2011
cGPA 3.25
sGPA 3.23
MCAT 502, (127/125/125/125)
I work as a Bone Marrow Technician in a large health care system. This means working with two pathologists performing biopsies in patient rooms. 2500+ hours of patient contact and physician shadowing. Excellent LORs from both physicians I work with on daily basis.
200+ hours of volunteering in a local detox ward.
Also volunteering at a large hospital directly tied to a COM.
Research award from undergrad.
Shadowed a DO during several procedures and surgeries. Shadowing a DO for a week at the end of this month specifically for a strong LOR. He is an oncologist and I have biopsied many of his patients at work.
Also, I am enrolled in 2 courses this fall and 2 more in the spring. Fall includes Cadaver Anatomy and Neuroscience in hopes of bringing GPA up and to address the issue of being out of school for so long.
Oklahoma Resident. Thanks for any input.
