Help with school list/what are my chances?

It worries me to have so many top schools on that list when the people at my undergrad institution ended up matriculating at mid or lower-tier schools that my stats assume I shouldn't even apply to. Any other thoughts @Goro @LizzyM @gyngyn ? Seriously, thank you for the help. I've tried to research a lot and get onto each school's site, but there are a lot of different opinions and perspectives out there...

Getting into a top school is 100% on you. Not based on what schools other people at your undergrad have gotten into.

Make sure to have multiple eyes look over your primary app and secondary essays. It's really how you write about these experiences and your motives that will differentiate you from other people who've had the same experiences.
 
Thanks for all of the feedback, everybody. It took me a long time to even believe medical school was a possibility. It has been a busy journey over the past few years trying to really find my niche and where I fit in. @bluepeony I really appreciate your comment and am striving to make sure that I am being genuine to myself and to others in all my interactions, activities, relationships, etc. Thank you for your help, truly!!
