help with separation scheme for orgo mid term lab practical

Heads up ghost11, homework questions are against the TOS you agreed to here on SDN and the admins are typically quite merciless about it.

i need help designing a separation scheme for a mixture containing 50% phenanthrene , 40% methyl 4-aminobenzoate and 10% 1,4-dibromobenzene.
Plz help, thank you so much in advance ppl
Acid-Base Separation homie

1) add HCl to extract aminobenzoate -- drain aqueous layer -- once separated, add some NH4OH until it gets basic -- ether extraction from the water --> aminobenzoate.
2) leaves you with dibromobenzene and phenanthrene in the organic layer.
3) fractional distillation

You'll probably get a better answer in the DAT discussion.
