Hello all! I need to write CK and CS both in December. Also, I will not have done Obs/Gyn or Pediatrics beforehand (American studying abroad). I did well on my step 1 (239/99) - hopefully this works in my favor!

I realise this is a monumental task!! I'm looking for some help writing a study plan. I have Secrets and the FA books, plus I will get UWorld. Is this a correct approach? Any other awesome CS materials I should know about?

Many thanks in advance.

I think you mean 239/99?

CS is a cake walk. You need probably NO study time. Thats risky. Two or three days of First Aid CS (its better if you work through it with a partner) and youll ace CS.

As far as CK, you need no more than 1 month dedicated study time. With that, do

UWorld + First Aid

or

Uworld + Step Up

you can supplement the material you haven't studied yet with a warm up with Crush (should take you a weekend to just read through, it wont give you any points), or an extra boost with Secrets.

Finally, I hope there is a good reason for you taking step 2 before finishing your cores (like you're doing 5 aways in Ortho). You may regret it if your residencies consider Step 2 in accepting you. Good luck!

do you mean step up to step 2 or step up to medicine

Thanks a lot! Sounds like I've got what I need.

The reason I'm writing step 2 before finishing O&G and Paeds is that these are final year rotations at my medical school. Due to an extreme lack of scheduling control, it's quite possible these will be my last two rotations of year 4. I need to have step 2 before residency applications, so basically it's December (my summer holiday) or never.
