I am trying to readjust my study schedule because even after studying for 3.5 weeks I scored a 200 on NBME 6. I have one month left before the exam date.

There are a couple of things I know I am having trouble with.

1. Pharm- for the life of me I can't keep the toxicities and contra straight with drugs. And drugs in general start to fade from my memory pretty quickly. Any advice on how to learn these? Any particular flashcard set you guys found helpful?

2. Micro- same issue- can't keep the bugs with their presentation straight or their association. I have got microcards -maybe they will be helpful? But either way, any help with how I should tackle this subject should be greatly appreciated.

3. With diseases, I especially have a hard time figuring the mechanism of their presentation. I realize this is a major portion of the test but I am just forgetting stuff they list in FA. I tried reading FA endocrine path section and then filling in the mech from RR but that's also taking quite a long time.

4. Is there a site to look at the path pictures for classic dz? I don't have a good foundation of path (I read pocket robbins and got lucky with a B in path). Again, any suggestion here would be great as well.

I am willing to put in the work but I am just struggling to figure out what I need to do to make this work. I would like to score in the mid 230s. I am pretty much willing to put in the time if there is a tried and true method to memorizing/understanding these topics.

As always, thanks for your suggestions 🙂

What I have found to be just about the best thing for pharm is to do pharm drills. This requires having someone else to study with though, at least for an hour or 2 daily. What we do is have one person ask everyone else pharm questions for the entire time. When I'm running it, I just go through the First Aid and ask questions. I usually get through the entire First Aid pharm in 1.5 - 2 hours. This doesn't mean I do every single drug every single time, but over time, you get most of the drugs down.
