Hello everyone. I want to apply next cycle so I wanted to get my DAT done and over with. However, I am just starting to study today and only have about one month left of summer. I have minimal basic knowledge of gchem and ochem and a basic biology background, but I was planning on studying into the first month of the school year. One month of summer used to really study and then one month during the school year for practice tests.

I'm going to be taking a 14 credit hour schedule this fall so I don't know if this is a good idea. I figured it would be okay because I would do most of my learning in a month before school started and just go crazy with practice tests during the school year.

Is this a possible plan? Or is it not a good idea? Please let me know what you think! Thank you 🙂

depending on your study schedule 8 weeks (6-8 hrs daily) of prep is plenty to get hold of DAT material and get good scores. It's definitely doable, I did mine with summer school....just make sure don't rush for the sake of just been done with it....you really don't want to retake DAT. if you feel prepared after 6 weeks of prep time (4 weeks study + 2 weeks of practice) then go ahead and schedule it to take it after 8 weeks...otherwise give yourself some time and take it when you feel confident.
