I am taking the August 18th test and am wondering how best to manage my time for the BS section? I have already covered the PS and am taking verbal passages periodically. My biology background is much stronger than my organic; however, I don't want to limit myself by studying more biology than organic. Is this a good or bad idea? Any helpful suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Well, it's better to be safe than sorry, so I would definitely not try compromising either subjects. But it seems like you're pressed for time, so revisit topics and see what you're weaknesses are and focus on those areas. I believe AAMC has a list of topics that will be covered for Bio and Ochem, so try to gauge your understanding in each topic.

But you should really get something like the EK series (which doesn't go into too much depth) and read through it and finish all the problems. From there you could find out what topics you're not so strong and can work on those areas before going on to taking practice FLs.

You should definitely check out SN2ed's thread and the 30+ MCAT habits for more study insight which can be found at the top of this forum.
