"Please write an essay on experiences which have contributed to your development that would help us to interpret your academic record, or to understand you better as an individual"

My question is: is this a space provided so you can excuse yourself of a non-perfect GPA?
For the people that got accepted to Temple, could anybody give me an idea of what they wrote.
THANK YOU

Hey sorry nobody has replied yet....well today is my first day at temple.
I think that you can use that personal statement to your advantage. If you do have some bad grades you can probably use this statement to explain the reasons. If not, then just write a personal statement that you would have written.
They are just letting you that, if you do some negatives you can use the statement to explain yourself or show other ways why you are a good candidate for them.
If you are still not sure i would say call the admissions and talk to them. THey can be more help then any one of us can be.

Hope this helps

You can submit a separate typed statement with your application. This is what I did and I was accepted. My personal statement, LOR, and interview were what got me in. My GPA was 3.3 and PCAT 81%

Congratulations to both of you guys!!! Was your first day of school exciting? Do you mind sharing alittle bit of your experience today...
Since both of you got accepted to Temple, how soon did you submit your application? I think I am stressing right now because of the rolling admission deal, and I know the sooner you submit the better.
My stats are average that is why I worry about submiting early, but I don't want to send a poor personal statement either.
TY
