Help with Walgreens' insurance code

I live in Washington state. Do you guys have a list of walgreens' insurance code. I just started with walgreens for a few weeks ago. I keep having problem with entering insurance information. I use the BIN number to search for the plan, but it always return with million of plans. I have no idea which one to pick. then when i pick one, it end up to be a rejection.

I'm in Minnesota, so I can't help with Washington specifics, but, I have worked for a busy Walgreens for a couple of years.

If you have the card in front of you, you can narrow your search by adding the PCN # to your search.

But, in general, learning all the insurance codes your store uses just takes some time. At my first store, there are about a dozen that make up 90% of the business, and I learned those by sight.

Since you're only a couple weeks in to working their, ask the pharmacist or any senior tech that you're working with until you get a feel for the common plans.

BIN + PCN number will narrow it down.

But when you do find it, make sure to add it to a little cheat sheet so you don't have to keep asking the techs. Be sure to include whether you need to add "01", "001", etc. to the end of the ID#. It will become invaluable to you, especially when your more experienced techs aren't there.

You don't wanna be the pharmacist that does this all the time when presented with insurance cards...
