Help writing in work/activities section

Hi everyone,

I just need some help writing some experiences in the work/activities section. I’m a terrible writer and have a hard time writing what’s in my head... I read an article that pretty much said to structure your small explanations to include

1. How much time you spent
2. Your responsibilities and accomplishments
3. The impact you made
4. The qualities you demonstrated
   
   
   Is this a good formate ? I just need to write one for shadowing ? And pick my most meaningful experiences? I find this so difficult for some reason 🤣

1. There is a separate section on both AMCAS and AACOMAS to list hours. No need to repeat in the written section.
2. Unless it is an unusual activity, you had an unusual responsibility that isn't readily apparent based on the job title, or you accomplished something unusual for the job, probably keep this part very brief and only focus on the aspects that wouldn't be readily apparent to an Adcom. Adcoms don't need to be told the typical responsibilities of a scribe, CNA, MA, patient transport, waiter, barista, burger flipper, etc. In some places, medical scribes also serve as "techs" as well. That would be worth mentioning that you didn't just write notes as a scribe, you also did some direct patient care. Writing about how you made notes for docs as a scribe is wasting space, since every Adcom knows that is what a scribe does.
3 + 4. I think focusing on these two points is the most important. The bulk of what you write in the work and activities should focus on answering the main question of the work and activities - why would an Adcom care that you did this activity? Every activity should either show something positive about you, a positive impact you have had, or how it changed you (in a positive way).
