Hi, I received a mail from MCPHS saying that I have being wait-listed. Please let me know what happens next and what are my chances of getting accepted.

Hopefully you applied somewhere else. Its still early your chances of getting in are probably pretty good

I did apply to five more programs, but they all requires the PCAT. Which I am about to take in Jan. for the first time. MCPHS does not requires the PCAT. Hence, acceptance from them will help me not worry more about my performance in the PCAT.

I'm not sure what you need help with. They'll simply keep you under consideration until they make a final decision. That may not happen until late next Spring so I would just focus on studying for the PCATs and not worry about it.

Assume that you have been rejected. You are literally at their mercy. You may not hear back until July or even August. Definitely not good for your nerves.

Is it even possible to get accepted after being notified that you are wait-listed ? Have anyone being in this situation before ?

Yes, it is possible. However, there is no time table regarding when said acceptance could occur. As stated above, you should assume that you are rejected and place your energy towards getting accepted to the other schools where you are applying.

Definitely study as hard as possible over the next two months for the PCAT.. Don't rely on anything until you have an acceptance letter.

what kind of help are you expecting from us? all you need to do is go to more interviews to increase odd of getting accepted into pharmacy schools or show MCPHS how desperate you want to be in that particular school by adding sauce on it..such as more volunteer, better PCAT (actually they don't look at PCAT..correct?if so, nvm), increase GPA, keep calling/visiting the admin office, and etc.

Good luck to you! you are almost done.

and do some more research from SDN.. this one has great amount of information that you need to look at. For example, check this year & last year & previous of that year's MCPHS post.
