I need your advise in choosing between 2 jobs
I am a foreign pharmacist and work as tech for now ...i work at a central fill full time and started 3 months ago (good benefits+ government facility)
i got an offer for hospital position for tech full time too with better pay
The central fill is a repetitive job no phones, insurance or pt.closed on holidays and relaxing but i feel hospital would be more interesting and i am really into hospital job ( some techs told me it is tiring and dealing with nurses can be nightmare )
I need your opinion please and sorry if it is not the right place to post my question but i do not want to make a wrong decision and loose what it seems a good position
I have worked in retail only before the central so i have no clue what hospital job look like

How much more does the hospital job pay? Are the benefits as good? How much of a difference in your life would the extra money make?

They pay extra 2 $ ,not sure about how great the benefits but they offer health insurance and the other things ...the central has GrEAT benefits

Extra money always help since i am still taking my tests for pharmacy

Pick the hospital...think about it long term when you get licensed...it will definitely "look better" and offer more opportunities

Better to keep the good job you have, then take a chance on a job that might be better, but which could also be worse. You can do interesting things on your own time, you don't need your job to provide that.

Ask yourself where you want to go in your career. What kind of work would like to do? What kind of impact do you want to have?

Pay, benefits, work environment, and other tangible will only get you so much

What's leadership like at your current one? New management can always be worse.

It sounds like you are interested in the new job because of developmental opportunities.

Whats the goal?

If the goal is to become a hospital pharmacist Id take the job even if it paid less, had less benefits, more stress etc.

To be honest
I do not have any idea where i wanna be when i get the license.
I was told the central does not take foreigners as intern and i am not sure about the hospital

Why don't you keep your current job and pick up a per diem at the hospital to see if you like it? If you like it, go full time. If not then you will still have your current job and have no regrets.

Also you can quote multiple people in one post. No need to reply multiple times.

Your real problem is you want to know the future, so you can know for sure you are making the right choice, but that is impossible. There is a risk with either choice you make. And all of us here can give you ideas on what we would do, but what would be the better choice for us, might not be the better choice for you.

What you need to do is look at the best possible outcome of either choice. Then look at the worst possible outcome of either choice. For example:

BEST: Stay with current job....keep great benefits and schedule.
BEST: Take hospital job....get hired at more interesting pharmacist job after graduation.

WORST: Stay with current job.....have no other options but to work this boring job the rest of life.
WORST Take hospital job...find co-workers hate me and am forced to quit after 2 months. Can then only find job as CVS liquor clerk.

Now, I'm just guessing, you need to fill in the above with what you realistically see as the best and worst of each job.

If you are prone to NOT taking risks, then look at the worse and see if you find one horribly more worse than the other. Then this tells you to take the least worst option.

If you are prone to taking risks, then look at the best and see if you find one far better than the other. This tell you to take the job with the possible greatest benefit.
