What should I Do?!?

Hi everyone. I am applying to medical school for the 2023 cycle!
However, my mcat score was a 497. I have a 4.0 science and overall gpa. With about 1500 paid clinical hours (CNA, PCT, Behavioral Therapist, Caretaker), about 1000 volunteering hours, 250 shadowing hours for different specialties, help positions in clubs, and formed my own club as well. Do you think I will have a chance?

Not with a 497 MCAT score. You're in the risk zone for failing Boards and/or failing out of medical school.

Why did you do poorly? Do you have test taking anxiety? If so, that's fixable, and is mandatory for success in med school and beyond.

So, you need to retake the MCAT and score > 500 for DO and ideally > 510 for MD.

Do NOT retake until you are 100% ready, even if it means skipping an app cycle. Med schools aren't going anywhere.

You should not apply with this MCAT score. You're not ready.

Take your time, retake the MCAT, and then reassess your situation. You will be donating money to schools, of which you won't even pass the initial screening.
