Just took the DAT and got a 17 AA and 18 PAT. I thought I did alot better on the PAT, I ended up having plenty of time to do all the questions. Next time I will take more time and hopefully do better. The PAT is not what Im worried about, it's the Science. I got 17s on Bio, Ochem, and Gchem. What is the best method of studying for these? Especially Bio, I am a Chem grad and had no clue on some of the Bio questions. I studied Barron's DAT book and that was it. Is there something better to study? Thanks!

if you can get your hands on kaplans book or even better their practice tests, i think you could definitely raise your score. IMO, practice tests are the way to go...just make sure you know why each answer is right and why the wrong answers are wrong. i can't really comment on topscore cuz i never used it but it seems to me that the general consensus is that topscore is great too.

I agree, get a hold of Kaplan's blue DAT study book (it's around $65) and, in my opinion, the DAT study guide to have. Biology is the one section that most people get tripped up on and perhaps it has to do with the sheer volume of information available. As far as organic and general chemistry is concerned, all of the principles that you will be tested over are contained within Kaplan's book. Purchase it and memorize those three sections until you can recite them almost verbatim. Also, purchase Topscore's DAT prep CD. It contains three practice exams and the value with their product is that it allows you to gauge your performance in specific areas and determine your weak spots.
