is it ok to recycle experiences you wrote about in your primary ps for your secondary essays? i dont want to talk about the same thing over again but the stuff i put in my primary is the most meaningful and what made me decide to pursue medicine. i just hate how so many of these essays are almost the same! it's hard to come up with compelety new answers that you havent talked about before...anyone else having this problem?

i tried not to recylce the same stuff, but its so hard!! esp some essays flat out ask again - why medicine? to which i want to say - read my damn PS!!! for a couple of essays i just couldnt totally avoid what i had previously written, so i tried to take another slant on it. part of my PS was about my experience abroad, so for a couple essays i wrote about more specifics.... does that make sense? to take that 1 experience but look at it/discuss it in a different way?

That's what I tried to do. I used up my best stuff for the personal statement and then i didn't know what to do for the secondaries. But I either tried to expand on what I wrote on my primary or in certain situations just got down to the specifics of the experience.... depending on what the secondary asked for. good luck !

thanks, that's what i'll keep trying to do..i guess the trick is just to keep it sounding fresh. mmm...back to work..
